SWIFT is an intranet based Software Application designed & developed for the Corporate Tours division of SOTC. It's a complete Tour Management solution that enables the SOTC to have a systematic control over all the aspects of a Corporate Tour.

SWIFT is built on Microsoft ASP.NET 1.1 technology with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the database server. The software is hosted on a central Application Server located at the SOTC Head Office and is connected through high-speed leased line connections to all of its branches all over India.

SWIFT follows the complete business workflow maintained by SOTC for their corporate tours, right from logging an enquiry to planning an itinerary, sending request for quotes to the suppliers, to generating invoices and a statement of margin.

Following are the some of the salient features of SWIFT:

• The software automatically creates "Products" based on all the possible customer preferences for the services offered on tour. The user then has an option to select all products for a particular service (e.g., Hotel, Airlines, Sight Seeing, Gala Dinner, etc.) or only the products for particular combinations of customer preferences.
• The user is also allowed to enter the contracted rates for all the selected products with the supplier name and the validity periods.
• It allows a user to create template itineraries based on a budget range and the tour duration. The user can search for a template itinerary by specifying the above two criterion and if a suitable itinerary is found, he can just attach it to the current tour being planned. The user can also choose to create the itinerary manually by selecting appropriate products (services) for appropriate days on a tour.
• It also allows a user to instantly create RFQs (Request for Quotes), RFBs (Request for Bookings) and enter Quotation details received from the supplier, based on the Itinerary created. The RFQ and the RFB can also be e-mailed to the supplier directly through the Software, with copies e-mailed to appropriate authorities in SOTC.
• SWIFT also facilitates creation of a SOM (Statement of Margin). SOM is basically the calculation of profit for a tour after deducting all the direct and indirect expenses from the direct and other incomes and applying the profit margin. The SOM also calculates the profit in both Indian Rupees and whichever Foreign Currency selected, according to the exchange rates defined by the user.
• SWIFT also facilitates settlement of documented claims by the employees of SOTC for the expenses incurred on the behalf of the customer for all the pre tour expenses like Visa bookings. The software follows the full workflow from generation of claims to their verification and authorization by concerned authorities to the settlement of claims through voucher creation.

Along with these, the software generates more than 30 online reports for the Sales, marketing and the Accounts departments. Some of those reports are generated as PDF files and can be downloaded by the user to their PCs.
